Of course I’m talking about what she wrote. The title of her piece is “White Allies: You Don’t Get to Not Be White Right Now.” She seems to imagine that every white person who seeks to live a righteous life where race is concerned considers views themselves as an “ally” and needs to be lectured to — Blacksplained — by her, in drop-the-mic fashion. I don’t come from there. Where I come from, you say what you want to say, as loudly as you need to, and then I come behind you and call it as I see it. Call and response. What you call arrogant AF and whitesplaining, I call dialogue. I call it music. If you blow a hot solo at me, I’m damned sure going to throw down something you’ve never seen.
